The Waimea’s Living Treasures Awards was established in 2025 to honor Waimea’s cherished kupuna, who have dedicated their lives to serving the community. These individuals have devoted themselves to preserving, sharing, teaching, and perpetuating the traditions, arts, music, language, culture, and history of the Hawaiian people and the Waimea community. Their unwavering commitment to community leadership and contributions has greatly enriched the Waimea community, making them truly deserving of this recognition. 

 

In celebration of our community, The Aloha Festivals Island of Hawai’i, The Waimea Nui Cultural Association, and the Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders Association have partnered to host an elegant award gala in honor of our own. This exclusive event will feature a lavish private dinner and cocktails for the honorees and their guests.
